Once land trusts secure easements or acquire lands, they have to manage them - including providing public education materials if the site has public access. Sequoia Riverlands Trust asked GreenInfo to develop a series of visitor maps for one of their properties.
Sequoia Riverlands Trust (SRT) acquired the 1,100 acre Blue Oak Ranch Preserve in the central Sierra Foothills of California, and needed to prepare materials to support public access. This planning effort was funded by a Proposition 48 grant from the Sierra Nevada Conservancy and enabled SRT to invite visitors to enjoy the preserve's biological, scenic and historical values while protecting sensitive resources.
SRT asked GreenInfo to develop a series of very detailed site maps to support this work. GreenInfo digitized feature locations and prepared a clean graphic template for the actual maps which were produced using ArcGIS software.
